Art is the root word of articulation,
the hinging of bones, an arm at the elbow,
pinion swing of opposing opinion,
cold, metallic twisting of a socket wrench,
tongues sounding consonants against
the roof of the mouth, or
Merriam-Webster's definition 1a;
the action or manner of jointing or interrelating,
1b; the state of being jointed or interrelated,
another way of saying poetry, articulation,
but what sets it apart from other art,
the beauty of poetry is that,
like the truest kind of love, it demands nothing,
you need nothing, other types of art demand something,
painting demands a brush, something to dip it in,
drawing demands a pen, sculpture, a chisel, ceramics, a kiln,
music requires an instrument, dance requires music,
but poetry is like a kiss,
you part lips without thinking, let your tongue do the work.
